Your horse’s routine
ExampleFor a 454 kg (1,000 lbs) horse in light work, new to Humequine.
- Reset Days 1 to 10 60 mL a day each 600 mL over 10 days
- Stabilize Days 11 to 30 40 mL a day each 800 mL over 20 days
- Maintain Day 31 onward 20 mL a day each About 600 mL every 30 days
For a performance horse, Maintain stays at the Stabilize amount, 4 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs).
- Maintain Every day 20 mL a day each 600 mL every 30 days
Reset: a stronger first ten days to set the routine in motion. Stabilize: a steady amount while the new pattern takes hold. For a horse with digestive issues, stay on this amount until manure has been consistent for 10 days in a row. Maintain: daily care that keeps the conditions for Digestive Stability in place.
Maintain is the everyday routine: 2 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) a day in feed or grain, or 4 mL for a performance horse. It keeps the conditions for Digestive Stability in place. We also recommend a ten-day Reset every six months, as the seasons change.

Rates: Reset 6 mL, Stabilize 4 mL, Maintain 2 mL (leisure) or 4 mL (performance), each per 45 kg (100 lbs) of body weight per day. Daily totals, not amounts per feeding.
How to give the daily amount
Measure the daily amount in millilitres (mL) and add it to your horse’s feed or grain.
Give the whole daily amount at one feeding, or split it across feedings. Splitting divides the same daily amount; it does not double it.
Why the routine has stages
Reset opens the routine with a higher amount to give the gut environment a strong first ten days. Stabilize holds a steady amount for twenty days while the routine settles and you watch patterns. Maintain makes Humequine part of everyday care. The formula is the same throughout; only the amount changes.

Four years old and out of options. Forty days later, he went home.
Pumpkin Spice came to me when his owners didn’t know what else to try. At four years old, his ideal weight was around 260 lbs, but he was only 120 lbs. He had struggled with ongoing digestive and nutrient absorption issues for as long as they could remember.
At that point I was out of options. Diet changes, probiotics, and prebiotics hadn’t made any meaningful difference. We started adding a daily dose to his feed. Within a few days his stool consistency began to stabilize.
After about 40 days I was able to return him to his owners with a stabilized digestive system, something he apparently had never experienced before.
By two weeks he looked fuller, more alert, and was interacting more with the other horses.

As of this testimonial, October 2026, Roanie is still doing excellent.
Roanie's owner searched for three years. This is what she saw.
The fecal water and diarrhea continued. For at least three years, I searched for something that would help him. The liquid discharge caused terrible irritation. The hair around his tail, buttocks, and down his hind legs was damaged and, in places, completely lost.
Within the first week, the acidic liquid squirting stopped. His manure was still loose, but the strong odor decreased, and the texture began to resemble wet, finely ground hay. About a month into treatment, I photographed the first solid pieces I had seen. After years of struggling, that was a major milestone for me.
Roanie readily ate his feed and never seemed bothered by the taste. By the middle of April, I began noticing hair growing back around his hindquarters. His manure stayed loose until approximately the end of May, when it finally improved to a more normal consistency. As of October 2026, the fecal water problem has not returned. I can only speak from my own experience, and I know every horse is different. I cannot say for certain what caused his digestive condition or prove which part of his care produced the improvement.
But after years of trying to help Roanie, the changes I observed after starting Humequine were extraordinary to me. I truly believe it helped save his life.
I hope Roanie’s story gives another horse owner hope and encourages them to seek appropriate veterinary care and keep looking for answers.

Five years of the same pattern. Then it held.
I am the owner of a 29 year old paint pony, Skippy. We have owned him for the past 5 years. He has struggled with chronic diarrhea for most of that time. He was on local hay, and we had to suddenly switch him to timothy, and that is when the diarrhea began. Sometimes the probiotics seemed to help a bit, but every time we opened a new bale of hay, the diarrhea would come back.
At first, the diarrhea didn't get better. It seemed to get a bit worse. After about a week, though, his stool became perfect, and has remained that way since. He has been on it for 2.5 months now, and he is now eating normally and well, and hasn't had any diarrhea since.
I give him a maintenance dose daily, and have been able to re-introduce timothy into his diet. I no longer need to use probiotics. He did have a bit of FFWS along with the diarrhea, but that also has gone.
No digestive upset with different hay nor with the change of season.

Henri is 27. This is what his owner saw.
Henri is a 27 year old. In late summer of 2026 he developed diarrhea.
After various attempts to help him, I discovered Humequine on a horse feed support group. This product is amazing. Humequine formula was readily accepted in his feed with no hesitation.
At the present time he has no relapses. When you have to wash their butt every day because they have fecal matter down to their hocks it is a major ordeal especially as we entered winter. I am very grateful that Humequine was tasty and effective!
It is not an overnight fix, it takes time to heal the gut, but it worked.

What Horse Owners Often Notice
What consistent Digestive Stability can look like
Every horse is different. Microbiome Management supports the gut environment, and these are the observations owners often report as Digestive Stability becomes more consistent.
- More consistent manure quality. One of the earliest signs owners often notice.
- Reduced fecal water patterns. A more consistent digestive environment may reduce fluctuations over time.
- Improved resilience during feed changes. Supporting the gut environment helps maintain consistency through routine changes.
- Greater confidence in daily management. Owners often report spending less time managing recurring digestive variability.
- Fewer digestive fluctuations. Greater consistency often leads to fewer unexpected changes.
Individual results vary.
Answers before you decide
What’s the science behind it?
Humequine is a daily liquid of humic and fulvic acid. Humequine fuels the growth of beneficial bacteria with bioavailable carbon, humic acid binds to unwanted compounds supporting natural detoxification, and fulvic acid binds to nutrients and water molecules for enhanced absorption and hydration.
The research on humic and fulvic substances spans several animals and laboratory gut models, including university research at the University of Guelph. The Learning Center lists the studies, with a note on what each one shows and which animals it was done in.
The experiences owners share on this page are observations in individual horses. They complement the research without replacing controlled studies.
Is this just another probiotic?
No. Probiotics add organisms to the gut. Humequine works on the gut environment those organisms depend on, supplying bioavailable carbon and supporting the conditions that beneficial bacteria need to grow and stabilize naturally.
What happens in the first 30 days, and after?
Humequine works in three phases, each with its own job.
Reset, days 1 to 10: a stronger first ten days that gives your horse’s gut environment extra support from day one. Watch closely in these first days: appetite, how they finish their feed, and their manure.
Stabilize, days 11 to 30: a steady amount designed to support consistency while the new pattern takes hold. This is the stretch where you’re looking for steadier, more consistent manure, day after day.
Maintain, day 31 onward: daily care that helps maintain Digestive Stability, the everyday step of Microbiome Management, so the consistency you’ve built becomes part of normal feed time.
Every horse is different, and consistency matters more than speed. If your horse has digestive issues, stay on Stabilize until manure has been consistent for 10 days in a row, then move to the maintenance dose.
Will it work alongside our current routine?
Yes, and it works differently from a probiotic. A probiotic is targeted support: it adds bacteria for a specific need. Humequine is the foundation underneath: bioavailable carbon fuels the growth of beneficial bacteria, whether they already live in your horse’s gut or arrive in a probiotic, and humic and fulvic acids help keep their environment steady. Bacteria are built by nature to multiply when the conditions are right, and Humequine supports those conditions every day. A probiotic can sit alongside Reset and Stabilize. Maintain is designed to stand on its own as the daily foundation of Microbiome Management, and once your horse is there, targeted support is something you reach for when you need it.
How much do I feed, and what does it cost per day?
Humequine starts with Reset: 6 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) of body weight a day for the first 10 days. Then Stabilize: 4 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) a day for 20 days, through day 30; for a horse with digestive issues, stay on Stabilize until manure has been consistent for 10 days in a row, then move to the maintenance dose. Then Maintain: 2 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) a day, or 4 mL for a performance horse. Add it to feed or grain, once a day or split across feedings. For a 500 kg (1,100 lbs) horse that is about 67 mL, then 44 mL, then 22 mL a day. The calculator near the top of this page shows your horse’s amounts, the supply the starting routine needs and the cost per month for each size. We also recommend a Seasonal Reset every six months, as the seasons turn: ten days at the Reset amount, then back to Maintain. For a foal, or a pregnant or nursing mare, ask us first. The daily price shown with each size is at the maintenance amount.
Three biological functions.
One goal.
Digestive Stability is created when the gut environment allows beneficial microbes to grow, stabilize, and function consistently. Instead of attempting to replace those microbes, Humequine supports the biological conditions they depend on.
Bioavailable carbon
Bioavailable carbon fuels the growth of beneficial bacteria throughout the hindgut.
Natural detoxification
Humic acid binds to unwanted compounds, supporting natural detoxification in the environment that beneficial bacteria need.
Absorption and hydration
Fulvic acid binds to nutrients and water molecules for enhanced absorption and hydration.
Together, these three biological functions support the gut environment that creates Digestive Stability. That is the work of Microbiome Management.
Understand what makes Humequine different.
Humequine is not a probiotic. It is a daily humic and fulvic acid formula designed to support the gut environment.
| Probiotic supplements | Humequine Digestive Stability Formula | |
|---|---|---|
| What is supplied | Selected live microorganisms, depending on the formulation | Humic and fulvic acid in a daily liquid |
| Main focus | Introducing microorganisms into the digestive tract | Supporting the gut environment your horse’s own microbes depend on |
| Adds live bacteria | Yes | No |
| Daily application | Follow the individual product’s directions | Measure by body weight and feeding stage, then mix into feed or grain |
| Place in the routine | Microbial supplementation selected for the horse’s needs | Environmental support alongside good feeding and management |
Humequine complements the care you already give. Forage, water, routine, and appropriate veterinary care remain central.
