Example

For a 454 kg (1,000 lbs) horse in light work, new to Humequine.

  1. Reset Days 1 to 10 60 mL a day 600 mL over 10 days
  2. Stabilize Days 11 to 30 40 mL a day 800 mL over 20 days
  3. Maintain Day 31 onward 20 mL a day About 600 mL every 30 days
First 30 days

Reset: a stronger first ten days to set the routine in motion. Stabilize: a steady amount while the new pattern takes hold. For a horse with digestive issues, stay on this amount until manure has been consistent for 10 days in a row. Maintain: daily care that keeps the conditions for Digestive Stability in place.

How to give the daily amount

Measure the daily amount in millilitres (mL) and add it to your horse’s feed or grain.

Give the whole daily amount at one feeding, or split it across feedings. Splitting divides the same daily amount; it does not double it.

Why the routine has stages

Reset opens the routine with a higher amount to give the gut environment a strong first ten days. Stabilize holds a steady amount for twenty days while the routine settles and you watch patterns. Maintain makes Humequine part of everyday care. The formula is the same throughout; only the amount changes.

Pumpkin Spice, a 4 year old miniature pony, standing in his stall
Case observation

Four years old and out of options. Forty days later, he went home.

These are the stable owner's own words, shortened for space.

Pumpkin Spice came to me when his owners didn’t know what else to try. At four years old, his ideal weight was around 260 lbs, but he was only 120 lbs. He had struggled with ongoing digestive and nutrient absorption issues for as long as they could remember.

At that point I was out of options. Diet changes, probiotics, and prebiotics hadn’t made any meaningful difference. We started adding a daily dose to his feed. Within a few days his stool consistency began to stabilize.

After about 40 days I was able to return him to his owners with a stabilized digestive system, something he apparently had never experienced before.

By two weeks he looked fuller, more alert, and was interacting more with the other horses.

What Horse Owners Often Notice

What consistent Digestive Stability can look like

Every horse is different. Microbiome Management supports the gut environment, and these are the observations owners often report as Digestive Stability becomes more consistent.

  • More consistent manure quality. One of the earliest signs owners often notice.
  • Fewer ups and downs from week to week. Owners often describe a steadier pattern as the routine settles.
  • Steadier through change. Supporting the gut environment helps maintain consistency through new hay, travel and the turn of the seasons.
  • Greater confidence in daily management. Owners often report spending less time managing recurring digestive variability.

Individual results may vary. These are observations owners report, not a guarantee of results.

Answers before you decide

What’s the science behind it?

Humequine is a daily liquid of humic and fulvic acid. Humequine fuels the growth of beneficial bacteria with bioavailable carbon, humic acid binds to unwanted compounds supporting natural detoxification, and fulvic acid binds to nutrients and water molecules for enhanced absorption and hydration.

The research on humic and fulvic substances spans several animals and laboratory gut models, including university research at the University of Guelph. The Learning Center lists the studies, with a note on what each one shows and which animals it was done in.

The experiences owners share on this page are observations in individual horses. They complement the research without replacing controlled studies.

Is this just another probiotic?

No. Probiotics add organisms to the gut. Humequine works on the gut environment those organisms depend on, supplying bioavailable carbon and supporting the conditions that beneficial bacteria need to grow and stabilize naturally.

What happens in the first 30 days, and after?

Humequine works in three phases, each with its own job.

Reset, days 1 to 10: a stronger first ten days that gives your horse’s gut environment extra support from day one. Watch closely in these first days: appetite, how they finish their feed, and their manure.

Stabilize, days 11 to 30: a steady amount designed to support consistency while the new pattern takes hold. This is the stretch where you’re looking for steadier, more consistent manure, day after day.

Maintain, day 31 onward: daily care that helps maintain Digestive Stability, the everyday step of Microbiome Management, so the consistency you’ve built becomes part of normal feed time.

Every horse is different, and consistency matters more than speed. If your horse has digestive issues, stay on Stabilize until manure has been consistent for 10 days in a row, then move to the maintenance dose.

Will it work alongside our current routine?

Yes, and it works differently from a probiotic. A probiotic is targeted support: it adds bacteria for a specific need. Humequine is the foundation underneath: bioavailable carbon fuels the growth of beneficial bacteria, whether they already live in your horse’s gut or arrive in a probiotic, and humic and fulvic acids help keep their environment steady. Bacteria are built by nature to multiply when the conditions are right, and Humequine supports those conditions every day. A probiotic can sit alongside Reset and Stabilize. Maintain is designed to stand on its own as the daily foundation of Microbiome Management, and once your horse is there, targeted support is something you reach for when you need it.

How much do I feed, and what does it cost per day?

Humequine starts with Reset: 6 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) of body weight a day for 10 days. Then Stabilize: 4 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) a day for 20 days, so the starting routine is your first month; for a horse with digestive issues, stay on Stabilize until manure has been consistent for 10 days in a row, then move to the maintenance dose. Then Maintain: 2 mL per 45 kg (100 lbs) a day, or 4 mL for performance horses. For a 454 kg (1,000 lbs) horse that is 60 mL, then 40 mL, then 20 mL a day. At the Maintain amount that comes to about $0.57 a day on the 4 L, $0.48 on the 10 L and $1.20 on the 1 L, at the one-time price. The dosage calculator on this page shows your horse’s amounts, the supply the starting routine needs and the supply that fits. For a foal, or a pregnant or nursing mare, ask us first.

Understand what makes Humequine different.

Humequine is not a probiotic. It is a daily humic and fulvic acid formula designed to support the gut environment.
